I’m no expert at it, but I believe Capistrano is something everyone who deals with Rails apps or sysadmin tasks should know. It really streamlines, codifies and makes repeatable any kind of (Li|U)nix administration task you have to do.
To that end, KCRUG is having a slew of presentations tonight about Capistrano. I’m giving one that shares some of my favorite “recipes” that have helped me work with my Rails applications in production. I’ll link it up here after the presentation.
